Defiance Community Cultural Council
The Defiance Community Cultural Council provides opportunities for Defiance area citizens to come together, to see, to listen, to talk, to share the rich traditions of their cultures, and to welcome and embrace the diversity of all people.
Defiance will become a more vibrant community with a sense of historical identity, cultural awareness and receptivity, a respect for historic preservation, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Bands, Bands, Bands!
The upcoming performers for the 2011 - 2012 Performance Series Bands, Bands, Bands! will be:
- Hotlanta - September 15, 8:15 p.m. - Schomburg Auditorium
- The Bob Rex Jazz Trio - October 6, 7:30 p.m. - Historic Valentine Theater
- Sax 4th Avenue - January 12, 7:30 p.m. - Historic Valentine Theater
- Big Band Sound of the DCCB - February 2, 7:30 p.m. - Historic Valentine Theater
- Axiom Brass - March 29, 7:30 p.m. - Historic Valentine Theater
Sunday at the Center
The upcoming performers for the 2011 - 2012 Performance Series Sunday at the Center will be:
- Javier Calderon - September 11, 7:00 p.m.
- Detour de force - October 2, 7:00 p.m.
- The Forgotten Saxophone - November 13, 7:00 p.m.
- Duo Diorama - February 12, 7:00 p.m.
- Warren Mailley-Smith - March 25, 7:00 p.m.
These performances will be held at the Stroede Center for the Arts.
2011 - 2012 Performance Series
To become a member of the new series at last season's prices, select your level of membership and/or sponsorship and mail your check to DCCC, P.O. Box 294, Defiance, OH 43512. Tickets will be mailed prior to the first concert.
Your membership will pay for less than half of the cost of the series. To allow us to keep the memberships affordable for everyone, please consider an additional fully tax-deductible gift. Sponsors will be listed in all programs of both series.
